Instead of "fundraising" we're calling this campaign "joy-raising!"

Clearly our partners in Tanzania need funds. We all know that. So if you're so moved, please click the links below and GIVE as much as you can. With your gift please cite UNITE so we can track those funds and report back to you and our extended donor network about their use. And please know,
even a little can go a long way in enhancing lives, so don't be shy. ANY amount is most appreciated!

However, there's more you can do... and it's FUN!

  1. Collect items for our second suitcases (see UNITE's Wish List). We invite you to jump in, join our Team, and mobilize your friends and family, school, chuch, community, business, workplace, etc. and spread the word about how they too can help those in in greatest need in Tanzania.
  2. Start a Global Girls UNITE Club. At Hindley Elementary School in Darien, CT, we're starting the "Global Girls" mommy/daughter club to raise awareness and funds for the women and children of Tanzania. We're planning bake sales, making & selling Global Girl cookbooks, T-shirts and hats, and we're even running our own dog walking service. And it all comes from our girls... Us mommies are just following their lead.

  3. Buy beautiful Maasai jewelry. UNITE is carrying the gorgeous necklaces, earrings and bracelets found at Tanzania Maasai Women Art. All proceeds will support our work in Tanzania this June. Additionally, UNITE team member Jess Ricci -- a jewelry designer -- is giving a percentage of all proceeds from her own jewelry sales to UNITE and our partners.
  4. Get creative. Paint pictures. Write story books. Sing songs. For example, UNITE is collecting songs from our children's classrooms to compile on CDs and gift to our partner schools Tanzania. No idea's a bad idea. Send us your thoughts. We'd love to hear from you! atmwells@gmail.com
