UNITE the World With Africa

The Women's Education & Economic Centre (WEECE), Moshi Tanzania

WEECE was founded in 1999 with 3 members and now has nearly 500 from 17+ villages in the Kilimanjaro region. The group is run by Mama Valeria Dominic Mrema and supported by the U.S. non profit Friends of WEECE.

WEECE addresses the most pressing issues facing women and their children in Africa today. Our UNITE team will work with WEECE on:
  • The creation and advancement of microloan programs to help achieve self sufficiency
  • The creation of women's health clinics & education campaigns to support maternal and child health
  • Education initiatives including those in leadership skills, health, business, HIV/AIDS, legal rights, and agriculture & animal husbandry.
  • Tree planting and the provision of mosquito nets & student scholarships
  • Supporting the rights of the disabled (a pioneer effort in East Africa!)
Please, consider a tax-free donation to help us support the great work that WEECE does to enhance the lives of those living in greatest need.

Asante Sana! (Thank you very much!)

 A human being is part
of the whole that we call the universe… Our task must be to widen our circle of compassion to embrace all living things and all of nature.
